Before I received the gift of inner softness through my Taijiquan practice, Zhuangzi particularly encouraged me by pointing out our mind as being separate from our true selves. This helped in allowing me to become unstuck to my thoughts, and further "release" into my emotions (a total of three stages I went through). It helped in becoming unidentified with the monkey mind, allowing deep acceptance.
